Editor: Asiva Sharpen+Soften is a Plug-In Filter for Adobe Photoshop featuring two distinct filters, similar in functionality to the Sharpen and Blur tools in Photoshop. It operates internally at 16-bits/component regardless of the input image's bit depth.
Where Asiva differs is its ability to Create variable sharpening or blurring based upon variations in Hue, Saturation and Intensity. By defining Curves on the Hue, Saturation and Intensity components, the user can control the Sharpening or Blurring of an image, individually or in any combination of color components. Control not only the distribution but also the quality and quantity of the filter applied.
Built-in Color Sampler Tool allows for accurate sampling of the colors in the image that sharpening or blurring is to be applied. With respect to Blurring, Asiva Sharpen+Soften is unique in that is stays within the boundaries of the selected colors. This is particularly important for softening flesh tones, where spill-over softening is unacceptable.

Version 2.2:
New Features Since Version 2.1: Asiva Sharpen+Soften 2.2 has replaced the HSV color space with the HSI color space. Although closely related to HSV, HSI has twice the bandwidth on the luminance or Brightness channel as that of HSV. This change includes both the color space and individual channels you may operate on, and also the 3 Asiva Maps where you draw curves to specify relative Sharpening or Softening amounts. New Features Since Version 2.0: Asiva Sharpen+Soften 2.1 has added the YUV color space, giving you the ability to sharpen or soften the Chrominance and/or Luminance channels. It also features much improved curve drawing. New Features Since Version 1.x: Asiva Sharpen+Soften 2.0 has a major overhaul since version 1.0. Certain controls have been moved to more logical locations, such as the Amount Slider. New additions include edge-only capabilities, expansion or contraction of color-selected pixels and falloff control, opacity control, snapshot settings, quick curve settings, and the ability to Overlay a specified color to see where sharpening or softening will occur.
